How to Use RESTASIS®
Use Twice a Day in Each Eye, 12 Hours Apart—
Keep Using Artificial Tears As Needed
Allow 15 minutes between use of RESTASIS®
and any artificial tear
As you make more of your own real tears, you may
need artificial tears less. Individual results may vary
Give RESTASIS® Time to Start Helping You Make More Tears
Just as it took time for your type of Dry Eye disease to develop, it will take time for RESTASIS® to help you make more of your own real tears.
In a 6-month study, patients made significantly more of their own real tears.
You may experience a temporary burning sensation when you first start
using RESTASIS® Ophthalmic Emulsion. This may be a response to
treatment. If this continues, call your eye doctor.

RESTASIS® and RESTASIS
MultiDose® Ophthalmic Emulsion
help increase your eyes’ natural
ability to produce tears, which may
be reduced by inflammation due to
Chronic Dry Eye. RESTASIS® and
RESTASIS MultiDose® did not
increase tear production in patients
using anti-inflammatory eye drops
or tear duct plugs.

Do not use RESTASIS® and
RESTASIS MultiDose® Ophthalmic
Emulsion if you are allergic to any
